Crown Workwear Storefront
Built Crown Workwear's online store: fixed-price workwear bundles where teams mix colours and sizes, choose embroidery or DTF print, upload their logo and pay online, with a quote flow for anything outside the bundles.

The challenge_
Crown Workwear, a trading name of Manchester Embroidery Ltd, decorates workwear, uniforms and garments with embroidery and DTF print. Branded workwear is usually sold the slow way: a customer asks for a price, waits for a quote, emails artwork back and forth, and only then pays. For a small team that just wants five T-shirts with a logo on the chest, that friction loses the sale. Crown needed a storefront that let customers order a branded kit in one sitting, without losing the custom quote route for bigger or unusual orders. We ruled out Shopify and WooCommerce: mix-and-match bundles with logo uploads and artwork checks would have meant stacking paid apps or plugins. A custom build keeps that logic in one codebase Crown owns, with no platform fees or lock-in.
Our approach_
We developed the custom e-commerce store around fixed-price bundles rather than a sprawling catalogue. Each bundle, from the Starter T-Shirts pack to the Starter All-Season pack, lets customers mix colours and sizes at no extra cost, pick left-chest embroidery or DTF print, upload their logo for an artwork check, and pay online without creating an account. Setup and digitising are included, so the price on the page is the price at checkout. A Request a Quote flow handles different quantities and garment combinations, and dedicated pages cover delivery, collection and turnaround. The site is built on Next.js with a bold, dark brand system that puts the product and the price first.
The outcome_
Crown Workwear is live at crownworkwear.co.uk. A small team can now order branded workwear, logo and all, and pay in one visit, with no quote to wait for and no artwork emails. Larger and unusual jobs still arrive through the quote flow, already carrying the details Crown needs to price them. The store runs on infrastructure defined in Terraform and deployed with Docker on DigitalOcean, so Crown owns the whole platform and can add new bundles without paying for apps or a platform subscription.
