Belle Care Platform
Migrated Belle's in-home care platform from PHP to Ruby on Rails, integrated the CareLink appointment scheduler, automated CareLink bookings, and stood up the sandbox environment they did not have. The web app runs on Hotwire Turbo Frames and Stimulus.

The challenge_
Belle grew from an in-home salon marketplace into a payer-backed chronic care program. Community Health Workers now visit members at home, complete foot-forward health assessments, connect them to a virtual clinical team, and feed every visit back into a targeting model. The original PHP application was never designed for that load. Scheduling lived in CareLink as a separate system, so coordinators re-keyed appointments by hand, calendars drifted, and field operations, telehealth, eligibility feeds and clinical review were stacked on a codebase that was hard to extend and harder to hire for. There was no sandbox environment, so new work had nowhere safe to land before it touched live visits.
Our approach_
We embedded with Belle's engineering team, learned the existing domain quickly, and led the migration from PHP to Ruby on Rails. First we implemented a sandbox environment so the Rails cutover, CareLink integration and Hotwire screens could be proven without hitting production. On the web we rebuilt scheduling and ops screens with Hotwire Turbo Frames and Stimulus so coordinators get live calendar updates without a separate JavaScript SPA. We integrated CareLink's appointment scheduler and automated Belle's CareLink bookings, create, update, confirm and cancel, so a visit in Belle writes through to CareLink instead of being typed in twice. PostgreSQL, Sidekiq and a React Native Community Health Worker app sit around that core so visit data, member outreach and care coordination stay in one system.
The outcome_
The migration landed without disrupting in-home operations. CareLink appointments now sync automatically with Belle, so the ops team no longer double-books by hand. Engineering has a sandbox to ship against instead of testing on live members. Belle runs on a Rails stack the in-house team can own, with Turbo Frames, Stimulus, a field app and clinical workflows that support monthly visits and health-plan partnerships. Members keep asking Belle to come back, 97% rebook, and the platform is the system that makes that cadence possible.
